Central University is a partner location with Johnson University and their Church Site Initiative. This initiative offers students a highly competitive and affordable Bachelor’s degree program. Central University combines real-church experience with a traditional academic education to equip, educate, and empower students as they launch into their calling to expand God's Kingdom. Whether you want to study to be a worship leader, have a passion for kids or students or want to develop the skills needed to lead a church you will be fully equipped by a team that cares about preparing you for a long, sustainable ministry career.
Students will take courses online and on campus at Central University.
The internship program is designed for college freshmen and sophomores with an interest in ministry. A CU internship will give students a better understanding of what a ministry career looks like without committing to it as a major. It is recommended, although not required, that an internship is completed before a student enters the Resident Program. Internships are 10-15 hours per week in the fall and spring, and 20 hours per week in the summer.
The Residency Program is a high intensity, two-year program that gives junior and senior students experience based training while they complete their online ministry degree. Students are paid for 20 hours/week of work while also given 20 hours per week of study time on church grounds. The program is designed for students entering their junior year in college. Students will earn a Bachelor's Degree in Ministry Leadership upon graduating the Residency Program.
